Group Therapy Services

10-Week Trauma-Informed Group DBT Therapy Service

Our 10 week-Trauma Informed Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) group programs are provided face to face (Central Coast of NSW, Australia) and online to anyone no matter your location.

Our DBT group therapy programs provide a supportive and structured space to learn practical, evidence-based DBT skills for managing emotions, thoughts, behaviours, relationships, and distress.

Grounded in the Marsha Linehan DBT model, our trauma informed programs focus on four core modules:

  • Mindfulness – learning how to pay attention on purpose to the present moment and stop getting stuck in the past or the future.

  • Distress Tolerance – managing high levels of distress, crisis and reducing impulsivity

  • Emotional Regulation – understanding and regulating emotions

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – building healthy, assertive and effective relationships

These skills-based groups are ideal for people who experience emotional dysregulation, chronic distress, acute and chronic suicidality, self harm and struggle with interpersonal relationships. Traditionally developed for people with Borderline Personality Disorder DBT is now an evidenced based treatment for a wide range of mental health diagnosis including those with cluster B personality traits, depression, anxiety, eating disorders etc

We offer both face-to-face groups on the Central Coast of NSW Australia and online programs for accessibility and convenience. Each group is facilitated by experienced, trauma-informed clinicians accredited in DBT, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for growth and recovery.

Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) Group Programs

Our Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) group programs are designed for individuals who struggle with overcontrol—those who tend to mask emotions, overthink, or find it difficult to relax, connect, or trust others.

These skills-based groups are ideal for individuals experiencing chronic and treatment resistant anxiety and depression, perfectionism, anorexia nervosa, obsessive-compulsive personality traits, autism or emotional over control.Based on the evidence-based model developed by Dr. Thomas Lynch, RO-DBT teaches skills that promote emotional openness, flexibility, and social connectedness.

Group sessions focus on:

  • Radical Openness – increasing self-awareness and willingness to experience emotions

  • Social Signalling – learning to express warmth and authenticity

  • Mindfulness and Self-Enquiry – enhancing curiosity and self-compassion

  • Receptivity and Flexibility – reducing rigidity and perfectionism

We offer face-to-face programs on the Central Coast and online groups to provide flexibility and accessibility. Each group is facilitated by trained, trauma-informed RO-DBT clinicians who create a safe, supportive space to explore openness and authentic connection.
